It has been quite sometime since I updated this blog. Two weeks of illness made me slightly out of action on the running, swimming front. Post my Madras trip between the 5th and 10th of April for my nephew's Poonal (Thread ceremony) was down with runny nose, fever and a terrible throat ache. It took almost two weeks for me to recover. Missed swimming and running during those days.
Now that I am back to swimming and running regularly, must talk about my new record. When we shifted to this apartment (still called 'pudu veedu' by both husband & I) with an awesome swimming pool in the club house, exactly 3 years ago I'd religiously swim 60 laps every day (one lap, for me is swimming from one end of the pool to another once) . And it'd take a painful 60 minutes to complete these 60 laps. Slowly tried to increase the pace and improve my timing. Didn't swim at all for almost a year due to health issues in 2010. Now that I'm back to swimming the pace has improved tremendously.
And today was a new record set - 60 laps in 38.12 minutes! And I've decided to post this after managing 60 laps in 39 to 39 1/2 minutes in the last one week. Today decided to go all out and swim 90 laps in an hour. Hope to do a 100 in 60 minutes very very soon. And the one person I'd thank is Him . 99 % of the songs on this player are His and His songs truly inspire me. Thank you , God!
On the running front, things are going ok. It's bleddy hot in the mornings and I end up looking like I've had a shower even after 10 minutes of running. But honestly, love summers, so it is not so bad. The Ipod started dying and so here it is.. my advance birthday / wedding anniversary gift from the husband... a Nananana...Nano!
