Mumbai Darshan

Last week, had missed my weekend run. Decided to do a Mumbai Darshan instead with my husband. This included a walk around rain drenched town side (South Bombay) . We started with Gateway of India, walked across some lovely churches, deserted lanes, the Air India building, Mantralaya, Marine drive walkway before I became tired and zonked out.

Enjoyed the walk thoroughly as we discovered a lot of new things about the city. Saw a mini tent like structure near Mantralaya which served as a study centre where a bunch of college students with their notes and laptops were studying, preparing for their examinations. Don't have pictures of the study centre (may be next time), but here is a collage of the rest of the places we covered.

Another place I love to walk / run at is Five Gardens / Parsi Colony at Dadar. A gorgeous little locality with five little gardens and lots of trees.

It is indeed a lovely sight to see and hear the birds early morning , while running.

We are almost at the end of the monsoon season in Bombay. And it is that time of the year when the enthusiastic runners start training for the Standard Chartered Mumbai Marathon. Come across lot of runners training , especially during the weekends.

And it is awesome to loads and loads of people running around you. Truly inspiring!
